The installation LIFE – fluid, invisible, inaudible... created in collaboration with Ryuichi Sakamoto commissioned by Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM] in 2007, based on enormous materials of a magnificent multimedia opera LIFE by Ryuichi Sakamoto premiered in 1999. Modeled on various factors in the opera, this installation is conceived with expressions reflecting today’s world, a new element which uses previously unused material has been included in addition to the original material. It is an experiment to fuse sound and image as a new kind of artistic synchronization, suggesting opening our sensation to vague and unrecognizable realms, and the artists try to get its message across to a wide variety of people in today's world.
